Governance
Role-based controls, audit logs, and compliance-ready execution paths built in.
Governed, auditable, and production-ready agent workflows. Build with confidence, deploy without vendor lock-in.
What is NemoClaw
NemoClaw is an open-source project for running OpenClaw inside OpenShell, part of the Agent Toolkit. The idea is simple: instead of running an autonomous agent directly on your machine, you run it inside a sandbox where network access, filesystem access, and inference calls are all controlled by policy. Inference traffic is routed through cloud endpoints, so the system is easier to manage and a lot easier to reason about.
What matters here is control. OpenClaw agents are useful because they can act on their own, call tools, reach outside services, and keep working without constant supervision. That is also the part that can get messy fast. NemoClaw puts boundaries around that behavior without turning the agent into something static or limited. It gives you a sandboxed runtime, declarative network rules, managed inference routing, and a CLI for setup, monitoring, and lifecycle management. So you still get an agent that can do real work, but not one running loose on the host.
It is a practical fit for teams building always-on assistants, testing agents in restricted environments, or deploying them onto remote GPU infrastructure. The project itself is built around a small plugin, a versioned blueprint, and an OpenShell-managed sandbox, which makes the setup repeatable and keeps policy enforcement consistent over time.

Why Nemoclaw
Role-based controls, audit logs, and compliance-ready execution paths built in.
Connect internal APIs, CRMs, and data platforms with minimal glue code.
Deterministic workflows with retries, approval gates, and observable traces.
Run in your environment. Keep full control over infrastructure and data.
Quickstart
Clone the repo, run the install script, and start your first agent session in a sandboxed environment.
1
Run the install script to prepare dependencies and scaffold your assistant environment.
2
Enter the sandboxed shell. Your agent runs isolated from the host system.
3
Use the terminal UI for live chat or send CLI prompts to validate the setup.
Architecture
Every layer is designed with security, observability, and control in mind.
01
Agent processes live in an isolated runtime, reducing direct host-level exposure.
02
Unlisted external calls are intercepted. Operators can allow or reject them.
03
Inference traffic goes through configured providers, not arbitrary endpoints.
04
Blueprint-driven flow manages setup, policy application, and runtime updates.
Use Cases
Enterprise teams use Nemoclaw for production workloads across support, revenue operations, and platform engineering.
Multi-step ticket triage and response drafting with approval gates for sensitive actions.
CRM enrichment, pipeline summaries, and follow-up generation for GTM teams.
Runbooks, on-call assistance, and system checks through secure agent actions.

NemoClaw is built around a simple idea: let agents run, but do not let them roam freely. The interesting part is how that control is enforced.

The useful question is not whether an agent can take action. It is whether that action happens inside a boundary you can inspect and control.

If an agent can call any host it wants, the rest of your safeguards are weaker than they look. Egress control is where a lot of trust decisions become real.
